This is Sunday afternoon. Here I am doing what I used to do on quiet Sunday afternoons while I was in Korea: sipping Starbucks at Starbucks alone with a book (this time in a Kindle form) and internet. Dealing with boredom is big part of modern life. Some go hiking. Some go shopping. And I lounge at Starbucks. Not particularly exciting, but peaceful enough. One of those usual Sundays.

Life is good with Kindle
Finally my Kindle has arrived. This is the most unique electronic device I've ever had. It feels analogue and classic unlike other shiny inventions of this century, and I love it.
Some say this small device removes the joy of grabbing and collecting books which is big part of reading experience to many readers. I can certainly see where they are coming from, but honestly I don't care. The benefits outweigh the down sides. To me the idea that I can carry hundreds of books in this slim device is fascinating to say the least. As carrying so much stuff in shoulder bags is a source of pain, I have been dying to reduce the size of my daily carry-on luggage. Kindle is a perfect solution.
After pondering on which book should be my first pick for Kindle, I have chosen John Scalzi's "Old Man's War." A fun read so far. :)

Feather
I guess I'll start with one of my all-time favourite songs.
This song has been on my playlist for a few months now.
Since I have to work all night and probably all day tomorrow, I need something comforting like this.
